COMPLAINT OVER INCEASANT ABUSE BY MY CLIENT EDWARD EMEANUO

Sequel to your request to draft what transpired between me and my customer aforementioned in the title of this letter, I have this brief note to share with you.

The customer Mr. Edward Emeanuo has continued to owe my company with the hope that he has more business to do with me. For instance, he once bought goods from my company in 2012 and made complete payment in 2016 (four years after) as emphasis. There has never been a time he pays complete after business transaction.

On May 28th 2018 he ordered for ABB 300KV - LOW TENTION TRANSFORMER alongside 300metres x 1 core Cutix Armored Cable for his new hotel at Plot 131 Ikenegbu Layout beside Everyday Supermarket Owerri.  Upon meeting with him in his office on Thursday, I made contact of the company to supply his transformer and the exact amount as price was cometresunicated to him without adding cost. We both discussed on the shipment, which he agreed to pay N100,000 (Hundred Thousand Naira Only) for it. On Thursday when I wanted to cometresence the order of these goods, his workers before Mr. Edward and I requested that I should exercise patience so they could finish work on the base where the transformer will be installed. Then two days later, he Edward called me to ask if I have supplied the Transformer and cables; my ‘NO’ as an answer, stirred him to roar over the phone against me, saying that I should not supply again, stating that I should obey his order and not that of his boys at site. In a flashback, I recalled his usual stagger since I have known his pattern of inconsistency dealing with me on business matters. To put it straight, it has been a difficult task for him to pick my calls even when important information is needed to be passed to him.

The goods started arriving on Wednesday and on Thursday were fully supplied in good fate and certified by his workers (Ik and Michael) on site. There too, I called Mr. Edward as usual he didn’t pick my calls whereas the duo workers at that sport, received calls from him where he was briefed that the goods have been supplied, then he ordered them to take inventory as disclosed to me by the duo.

I tried to reach on over the phone after the supplies for him to release the balance of Payment. My calls were turned down. I cometresunicated with his workers concerning my payment; they told me they have not being given order to pay me off. I have repeated my visit to his office/hotel at Port Harcourt road until I finally met him in morning hours of the day. I told him I came for my balance payment but he dismissed me with the hope to getting back to me later. By 4pm the same day, he called me back to his office to query me that the Armoured Cable of 160metres supplied has 60metres missing. I told him I have nothing to answer so long as I have supplied. I told hold if he is looking for the missing cable he should ask his workers on site instead. There too, his workers Sampson and Mike present had a close conversation and later came up to tell their Oga (Mr. Edward) that they saw the electricians  Ik and Darlington took off the fence (made away with) Armoured Cable but he insisted that I was behind the stealing hence he told me to stop supply. I recalled supplying him 16metres though delayed by the company same way and he did told me to stop supply, called me all sorts of names over the phone and when he came to town he called to verify what was supplied and everything was in good shape and complete. When I asked him to explain the difference between his response and reactions on the former and the later supplies, he turned me question down stating that he want to make case with me. Without wasting time, he called the police (FSARS) pointing at me to be arrested but unfortunately for him, the policemen recognized me and asked me what transpired between us. I explained the whole details to them as they watch him using plank wood to molest his workers right there on his hotel site. The police tried to stop him stating that if he continues with the rude attitude, they would leave his site. The police asked me if I was the one that contracted the electricians working at Mr. Edward’s site.. I told them I only knew them as workers at his hotel site. The police concurred with me that it’s not my business that he Mr. Edward should hold his workers responsible instead. The Police told me that maybe he is using this tactics to avoid paying me the remaining balance.

He called the SARS men to discuss on how to handle my case and they told him to get the electricians of which luckily for Ik was off the site, the other co-workers Mike and Samson were arrested instead whereas the police told Mr. Edward point blank that I have nothing to do with matter. The security men (3) who during police interrogation, acknowledged the supplies. Mike slept in police custody for 2 days; Sampson was there for more than a week despite having health conditions courtesy of accident. At the police net during police statement, Sampson acknowledged confirming the goods were complete, whereas Mike on a contrary disclosed that the goods where received but not properly check if they are complete in the case of the Armoured Cable. Note that Mike and Ik were present during the time of supply and the ones Mr. Edward contacted to take inventory. Mr. Edward still dissatisfied with the efforts of the police SARS to arrest me, went through the Police Area Commander who repeated the same statement to take me off the matter. A met with the Area Commander himself who is a friend and he narrated the whole story. They went on looking for Ik. But meanwhile, the Armoured cable he measured 100 metres was 105 metres instead. The 20metres he latter accepted as the remaining was 21 metres in the actual measurement. Due to the pressure mounted on me, I contacted Ik on phone who told me the missing cable was stolen by Darlington and not him as alleged, adding that since Mr. Edward is after his cable or refund of money that he would provide the remaining cable pleading with me not to make police case with Mr. Edward as that would affect him as well. He said that the cable will be used for the installation of the transformer hence the base is very close to the fence where the cable was hidden. Seeing how serious the matter was, IK returned the cable through the help of his boys even while trailed by the police. Upon returning the missing cable (40metres) and acknowledged by Sampson who was released by the police after some days, and as if it were not enough, Mr. Edward still insist to deal with stating that the returned cable is still his cable not the one supplied recently, one Amarachi Anyanwu, the Barrister to Mr. Edward, persisted to further carry on investigation to involve me in the matter. He Amarachi has insulted me in a harsh way just like Mr. Edward. He Mr. Edward never told the police that the missing cable has been returned except that I briefed the police. Insisting the wires is missing by 60metres whereas Mr. Edward went ahead to use the returned cable of 40metres at his site. I sensed he is up to something this time for accusing me of stealing.

Luck ran out of him when the transformer installer asked him to provide him with the test certificate and document of the transformer which I have In my possession. He asked the man to call me for that hence he Mr. Edward has refused to call or pick my calls. Upon noticing I have failed to release the docuents, and feeling dissatisfied,

Mr. Edward has again ordered for my re-arrest insisting that those cables were stolen by IK and bought over by me. Secondly, that I must go in search of the said IK else be detained by the police. He abused me like no person calling me all sorts of names. The most annoying part of it is that despite the fact that he still owe me, he went ahead to work with another engineer to power the transformer I sold to him without having the test certificate and the invoice for it.

His threat has continue as the last time he invited me over the transformer issue upon coming back from Russia, He signed a cheque and handed over to his lawyer Amarach Anyanwu stating that the only condition to hand over the cheque to me is to return his stolen cables and find his worker IK. Before the Second in command of the FSARS, he Edward and his lawyer wanted to force that I sign an agreement based on this but I neglected their plans to lure me into the case. Later I dropped the 2IC FSARS to his office whereas Barrister Amarachi Anyanwu unknown to me followed  us to the police station insisting that I must sign the agreement which the 2IC FSARS declared he will not be a party to it that we should go outside to settle the matter. While outside, the barrister told me that FSARS have arranged to go looking for IK and would charge N500,000 saying that I should bring N200,000 as my own contribution. I state it point blank that I am not in any way a party to his wayabout or business. Again, yesterday morning I was served a letter from the Owerri Urban Division of Police to appear to their office for alleged stealing of Cables.

I sensed, he is up to something, and if nothing it done to bring him to book, he would go further to tarnish my image and that of my business.

With due respect Sir, I would like you to use your good offices to get to the root of this making sure justice is done in this matter.
